3. 本扩展不收集的信息

6. 数据安全

7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use 声明

“DeepSeek Translation Replace” (the “Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that sends webpage text selected by the user to the DeepSeek API for translation, then displays or replaces the translated content on the webpage.
2. Information processed by the Extension
DeepSeek API key
The Extension requires users to provide their own DeepSeek API key. The API key:
- is stored in the Extension's browser storage;
- is never sent to the Extension developer;
- is sent directly to DeepSeek only when calling the DeepSeek API to authenticate the user's request; and
- is not used for any purpose other than providing the translation feature.
Users may change or delete the API key in the Extension's settings at any time. Uninstalling the Extension also removes its locally stored data.
Text submitted for translation
When a user actively invokes the translation feature, the Extension reads the webpage text selected by the user and sends it directly to the DeepSeek API to generate a translation.
- Text is processed only when the user actively requests a translation.
- Text is used only to complete the requested translation.
- Text is not sent to the Extension developer.
- Text is not stored, analyzed, or used for advertising by the Extension developer.
- Text is not used to build user profiles or track browsing activity.
DeepSeek may process API keys, submitted text, and translation results under its own terms. Before using the Extension, please review the
DeepSeek Privacy Policy.
Do not submit passwords, payment information, identity documents, medical information, or other sensitive personal information for translation.
3. Information we do not collect
The Extension developer does not collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses, identity documents, payment or financial information, precise location data, browsing history, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage analytics, cookies, or similar tracking data.
The Extension contains no advertising, user-tracking tools, or third-party analytics services.
4. Use of browser permissions
The Extension requests only the minimum browser permissions necessary to provide its translation feature. These permissions may be used to:
- read webpage text currently selected by the user;
- display or replace translated content on the current webpage; and
- save the user's API key, language preferences, and other Extension settings.
The Extension does not use these permissions to continuously monitor browsing activity or send browsing history to the developer.
5. Sharing and retention
The Extension developer does not sell, rent, or share user information. To complete a translation actively requested by the user, the Extension sends the necessary text and API request directly to DeepSeek. The Extension does not transmit user data to any other third party.
The Extension developer operates no server that receives or stores user data and does not retain API keys, translation text, or translation results. Extension settings and the API key are stored in the user's browser storage. DeepSeek's retention and processing of API-related data are governed by DeepSeek's own privacy policy and terms.
6. Data security
The Extension communicates with the DeepSeek API over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Users are responsible for protecting their API keys and should immediately revoke or replace a key through the DeepSeek platform if it may have been exposed.
